Announcing the Launch of the "Open
Innovation Center Kameoka"
To drive the industries of the future, our Open Innovation Center serves as a collaborative hub where industry, government, and research institutions unite to revitalize regional economies.
Regional revitalization relies on locally driven innovation to cultivate new industries. To transform research findings, expertise and business ideas into viable enterprises, digitization, validation, and implementation are essential.
To achieve this, KUAS is creating an open hub where individuals from diverse professional backgrounds can collaborate while also providing personnel to support these efforts.
Our mission is to foster a opportunities and spaces where experts from multiple disciplines converge—transcending traditional academic boundaries—to develop solutions that address local business challenges and drive regional growth.
Aiming for decarbonization and a circular society, we foster the local development of new technologies and services to create new value. Our center provides spaces and opportunities for students, businesses, and researchers to collaborate, exchange ideas, and expand their knowledge.
We promote the adoption of new mobility technologies, including autonomous driving and next-generation transportation systems, while integrating data to minimize environmental impact and enhance both mobility and everyday convenience.
Our research and educational programs serve a diverse audience, including insurance professionals, automotive mechanics, and the general public. We offer recurrent education programs to improve EV literacy.
In collaboration with university professors, we conduct advanced experiments on implementing cutting-edge technologies, such as inverters. Additionally, we provide access to testing tracks and facilities for venture companies and organizations developing autonomous driving technologies.
We conduct research and educational initiatives focused on revitalizing local agriculture and forestry, transforming community and social systems, and fostering new industries.
Smart Agriculture: We provide an environment for studying vegetable growth, enhancing nutritional functionality, visualizing cultivation techniques, and preserving agricultural expertise.
Forest Management: We offer training on visualizing forest resource data and analyzing regional and geographical information. Our goal is to develop skilled professionals, particularly municipal forest management personnel, in response to the implementation of the Forest Environment Tax.
